Eric
T. Wiegand, President |
Eric T. Wiegand started working for Magco
Inc., a Tecta America company, in 1995
as an Estimator.
He became President of Magco in 2007.
With over 10 years of experience in
the roofing industry as a project manager he handled
all aspects of his successfully bid or negotiated projects.
He managed the projects from start to finish with full
responsibilities for estimating, CADD (shop drawings),
budgeting, purchasing, project management, owner relations,
and subcontractor coordination.
Some major projects managed by Mr. Wiegand are clients
from the US Internetworking, The Arundel Center, Howard
Hall-UMAB, Inter American Development Bank, Harris Teeter,
Beltway Plaza Mall, Prince Georges Plaza, National Institutes
of Health, Lincoln Technical Center, American Red Cross
Holland Laboratory, East-West Towers, Easton High School,
Essex Community College, and United Airlines at Dulles
Airport.
Mr. Wiegand spent four years in the United States Marine
Corps learning organizational and leadership skills
in a highly motivated and fast paced environment. He
graduated from SUNY College of Environmental Science
and Forestry in 1995 with a B.S. in Construction Management
and Engineering.

Michael
R. Gaulin, Vice President & Operations Manager |
Michael R. Gaulin started with MAGCO Inc. in 1987
as a principle corporate officer and operations manager.
Mr. Gaulin’s duties include general oversight
of equipment, material procurement, scheduling of
over 40 men on a daily basis and on many occasions,
he also works in the field as the foreman of a crew
of laborers. He is responsible for training for all
field employees, record keeping for Maryland Department
of Transportation, and keeps current with OSHA regulations
and procedures. He has attended numerous foreman and
superintendent seminars from all major roofing manufacturers
as well as many NRCA workshops. Mr. Gaulin’s
most regarded attribute is his ability to take charge
of difficult and high profile projects with professionalism
and dedication.
Mr. Gaulin’s typical day consists
of inspecting a crew’s performance on a daily
basis from a material, procedural, and safety standpoint
in addition to providing written reports, and perform
final punch list inspections prior to a roof manufacturer’s
technical inspection. Mr. Gaulin is experienced with
all roofing and waterproofing system types, including
but not limited to numerous single-plies, modified
bitumen assemblies, hot-rubberized asphalt, and PVC
waterproofing assemblies, as well as structural expansion
joint systems.
Mr. Gaulin was employed by SCF Decks,
Inc. in 1981 as a lead foreman where he was responsible
for the installation of millions of square feet of
warranted single-ply roofing systems. He quickly became
the lead foreman due to his ability for total project
supervision, from existing roof assembly tear-offs
through sheet metal work and timely completion of
final punch list items. His supervision for training
laborers properly and safely made him a respected
leader.
Mr. Gaulin was an Instructor at
a recent NRCA workshop, attended EPA asbestos training
at the State of Maryland and is a certified crane
operator with a CDL license and a certified AHERA
supervisor. He also takes pride in his First Aid and
CPR training by the American Red Cross.
Some major projects supervised by
Mr. Gaulin are clients from the Baltimore Convention
Center, International Monetary Fund, Dulles International
Airport, Annapolis Mall, TW/NW Unit Terminal at Northwest
Airlines and Millennium Chemicals. |

Angie Durhman is the Green Roof Specialist for Magco, Inc., A Tecta America Company. Her primary responsibilities include managing green roof projects along the East Coast and supporting national green roof implementation. She holds a Masters Degree in Horticulture from Michigan State University , where she focused on green roof plant performance and environmental sustainability. Durhman received a Bachelor's of Science from North Carolina State University and has previous work experience in the biotechnology industry.
Whereas most horticultural professionals do not seek employment with roofing companies, green roof technology requires both roofing experience and knowledge of living systems.
Durhman is an active member of the Greening Rooftops for Healthy Cities Corporate and Research Committees, USGC-Baltimore Chapter Member, ASLA Affiliate Member, and participates in local green building events. |

Paul Dubics, Project Manager |
Mr. Dubics started working for MAGCO Inc. in 2004 as an Estimator. With ten years of experience in the roofing industry, and a total of fifteen years of construction management experience, he handles all aspects of his successfully bid or negotiated projects. He manages the projects from start to finish with full responsibilities for estimating, CAD (shop drawings), submittals, budgeting, purchasing, project management, owner relations, and subcontractor coordination.

Leroy
E. Horn, Service Manager |
Leroy E. Horn started at MAGCO Inc. in 2000 as the
Service Manager of MAGCO Inc.’s growing service
department. Mr. Horn brings with him his extensive
managerial and supervisory knowledge. He has over
30 years of experience in the roofing industry from
his past experience of being a Production and Operations
Manager, Project Manager, and an Estimator.
Mr. Horn worked at Roofers Inc.
for one year as one of their Estimators and Project
Managers and his responsibilities included bid preparation,
project management and job costing.
Mr. Horn worked at The Fick Brothers
Roofing Company for four years as their Production
and Operations Manager; his position included both
commercial and residential projects. His numerous
duties included overseeing field supervisors, facility
and fleet manager, quality assurance, safety coordinator-OSHA
guidelines, job costing, inventory control, billing,
and payroll.
Mr. Horn was employed by F &
H Roofing Contractors Inc. in June of 1975, as the
major stockholder and served as President. Mr. Horn’s
duties included total management of production and
operations for both the commercial and residential
projects. Specific responsibilities included cost
estimating, setting up project crews, milestone schedules,
and budgets on an individual project basis. |
